Most asked

First time here?

If it is your first time

I've never ordered a translation. Is it hard?

Not at all, and we're with you every step of the way. There are 4 steps: 1) you send us your document, 2) a person gives you the price, 3) you approve and pay, 4) you receive your certified translation. If you have a question along the way, there's always a person ready to answer.

Do I need to speak English?

No. We help you in Spanish from start to finish: by phone, by WhatsApp, by video call or at the office. We take care of the English.

What do I need to get started?

Just your document, however you have it: PDF, Word or a photo. Plus your name, email and phone number so we can send you the price. You don't need to create an account first: it's created for you with your email.

How do I know which documents I need to translate?

The instructions from the office where you're filing tell you which documents your process requires. If you show us that list, we'll help you see which ones are in another language and need translating. And if there are 3 or more, the family bundle price makes it more affordable.

Do you charge for questions or for the quote?

No. Asking questions and getting your price is free, with no commitment. A person looks at your document and tells you how much it costs. You see the price and you decide whether to go ahead.

My document is old, torn or blurry. Will it work?

Send it anyway. We can almost always work with it. If a part truly can't be read, we mark it as "\[Illegible\]", which is the correct way to do it. If you can, take a photo in good light, straight on and without shadows.

I'm afraid something will go wrong with my case.

We understand: your case matters. That's why we translate your entire document, it's reviewed 2 times before it goes out, and it carries the certification that offices ask for. And a person is with you until the very end. At Traducasa, we don't sell translations: we sell peace of mind so you can sleep well.

Can I talk to a person?

Of course. You have 3 options: 1) call or WhatsApp us at (786) 695-0502; 2) a scheduled video call, every day from 8 am to 8 pm, Miami time; 3) our office in Doral, by appointment, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Outside of business hours, leave us a message and we'll call you at 8 am.

Do I have to go to the office?

No. Everything is done online, wherever you are: anywhere in the United States and in any country. And if you're nearby, we'll see you by appointment at our office: 9831 NW 58th Street, Unit 134, Doral, Florida.

I only have a cell phone, not a computer.

Your phone is all you need. Take a photo of your document, upload it at traducasa.com, and receive your translation as a PDF in your account, which you can also open from your phone.

Is it safe to send you my documents?

Yes. Your papers hold your whole life, and we take care of them as if they were our own. Your documents live in your private account: only you and the people working on your translation can access them. They are kept for 12 months.

The basics

What is a certified translation?

It's the complete translation of your document, along with a signed statement. In it, the translator affirms that the translation is faithful and complete and that they are fluent in both languages. That signature is what makes it valid before offices. At Traducasa, the certification is included in the price.

What is it for? When do I need one?

You need it when you have to submit a document in another language to an office in the United States. For example: immigration (USCIS), schools and universities, courts, banks, driver's licenses, jobs and insurance. If the office asks for the document in English, it almost always asks for a certified translation.

What's the difference between a certified translation and a standard one?

A standard translation carries the text into the other language. It works for letters, emails or to understand a document, and it costs 20 USD per page. A certified translation also includes the translator's signed statement, which is what offices accept. It costs 25 USD per page, with the certification included.

Is certified the same as notarized?

No, they're 2 different things. The certification is the translator's signature on their translation. Notarization is done by a notary public, who attests to the signature, not the translation. USCIS doesn't require notarization; some other offices do. If yours does, we take care of it for 10 USD per notarial act.

Who can do a certified translation?

In the United States, there is no federal translator license. What matters is that it's done by a person who is competent in both languages and who signs the certification. At Traducasa, every document is translated, goes through a full check of names, dates and numbers, and is finally reviewed by a translator who signs it and issues your certified translation. Our translators are native-level English speakers.

Do you translate the whole document or just the important parts?

The whole thing. We translate everything: every seal, every signature, every margin note, every small number and every page. Seals and signatures are described, for example "\[civil registry seal\]". Offices ask for a complete translation, and one missing detail is what gets your case sent back.

Which languages do you translate?

We translate from Spanish to English and from English to Spanish. We translate into neutral, international Spanish, so anyone in any country can understand your document. For now, we work only in Spanish and English.

What do I receive at the end?

You receive your translation as a PDF in your traducasa.com account, in the same order as the original, with the signed certification and the Traducasa seal. The PDF is included. If you need a physical copy, you can pick it up for free, by appointment, at our Doral office, or we can mail it to you for 15 USD (25 USD with tracking).

What language is the certification in?

In English, which is what offices in the United States ask for. We add the Spanish version below it so you know exactly what it says.

Which documents do you translate?

Birth certificates, marriage, death and divorce certificates, police/criminal record certificates, licenses, passports, diplomas and transcripts, vaccination records, bank statements, medical records, sworn statements, contracts and powers of attorney. Also letters, catalogs, manuals and websites.

Languages

What kind of Spanish do you use?

Neutral, international Spanish: the kind that's understood the same way in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Cuba or Spain. That way, anyone in any country can understand your document.

Get your price.
Can you use the Spanish of a specific country?

Yes, when you ask for it on purpose. That's called transcreation: we adapt the message so it speaks directly to that audience. It's quoted per piece, starting at 100 USD.

What kind of English do you use?

American English, natural and correct, which is what offices and companies in the United States ask for.

USCIS and immigration

USCIS requirements

Does USCIS accept your translations?

Yes. We do them following the USCIS rule: a complete translation into English and a signed certification stating that it is complete and accurate and that the translator is fluent in both languages. Every document is reviewed 2 times before it goes out. Our work doesn't end when you pay: it ends when your document is ready and received by the office where you submit it. If the office asks for a correction to our translation, we make it at no cost.

What exactly does USCIS require?

USCIS asks for 3 things: 1) a complete English translation of the entire document, 2) a certification in which the translator states that the translation is complete and accurate, and 3) a statement that they are competent to translate from that language into English. The translation is submitted together with the copy of the original document. All of this is included in our work. A useful fact: since July 10, 2026, USCIS requires the signatures on its forms to be handwritten, in ink; a signature made on a computer can get your filing rejected. That's why our certifications for immigration are signed by hand.

Does USCIS require the translation to be notarized?

No. USCIS doesn't require notarization; the translator's signed certification is enough. If another office asks you for it, we take care of it for 10 USD per notarial act.

Can I translate my documents myself, or have a relative or friend translate them?

The rule doesn't forbid it in those words, but when the applicant or a relative certifies the translation, USCIS may question it. It's one of the reasons USCIS sometimes asks for more evidence, and that makes the process take longer. What's required is a complete translation, down to the seals, with a signed certification. It's your call; if you'd rather play it safe, we're here.

Do I have to send USCIS the original document?

Generally, USCIS asks for a copy of the document along with its translation, and asks for originals only when they request them. The instructions for your form tell you exactly what to send. To translate it, a clear copy is all we need: PDF, Word or a photo.

How do you make sure names and dates are error-free?

We compare your name with how it appears on your passport and clearly mark first names and last names. Dates are translated exactly as written in your document and, if the day and month order differs from the reader's, we clarify it with a translator's note. If a letter changes from one of your documents to another, we explain it with a translator's note. And nothing goes out without 2 reviews: a full check of names, dates and numbers, and the final review by the translator who signs it.

My name appears differently on my documents. Can you fix it?

The translation has to be faithful, so we translate the name exactly as it appears on each document. What we do is add a translator's note that explains the difference, so the officer understands it right away. Correcting the original document is a separate process, with the office that issued it.

Does it work for residency, citizenship or family petitions?

Yes. The USCIS translation rule is the same for all its processes: residency, citizenship, family petitions, work permits and the rest. The USCIS instructions for your form tell you which documents your process requires; we translate whatever they ask for.

Does it also work for immigration court?

Yes. Immigration court also asks for a complete English translation with the translator's certification, and that's how we deliver it. If your hearing is coming up soon, let us know when you ask for your price and we'll look at Next day or Same day delivery together.

My document has an apostille. Does the apostille need to be translated too?

Yes. The apostille is part of the document, so it's translated along with everything else. The correct order is: first the original gets the apostille, and then the complete document is translated, apostille included.

If USCIS requests more evidence (RFE)

What is an RFE?

It's a letter in which USCIS asks for more evidence or documents before deciding your case. They can ask for it for many reasons; one of them is when a translation arrives incomplete or with details that don't match. Responding to it makes the process take longer, so it's worth getting everything right from the start.

Why might USCIS ask for a translation again?

The most common reasons:

  • Names, dates or addresses that don't match between documents.
  • Translating only "the important parts" and leaving out seals or notes.
  • Having the applicant or a relative certify it.
  • A format that doesn't reflect the original.
  • A certification that doesn't identify the document.

We take care of all of this in every translation.

How do you make sure my translation is right the first time?
  • We copy your name exactly as it appears on the original, check it against your passport and clearly mark first names and last names.
  • If the spelling of your name changes between documents, we clarify it with a translator's note.
  • Dates stay exactly as written in your document, with a translator's note that clarifies the day and month order.
  • We translate seals, margin notes and codes.
  • The translation follows the order of the original.
  • The certification identifies your document.
  • Before delivery, everything goes through a full check of names, dates and numbers, and the translator's final review.
I got an RFE because of a translation someone else did. Can you help me?

Yes. We'll do a new, complete, certified translation of the original document. If you have a deadline to respond, tell us what it is and we'll choose the turnaround time that works for you.

Can you help me respond to the RFE?

We only translate: we take your document and carry it faithfully from one language to the other. We don't give legal advice or draft documents. What we do is deliver the translation they're asking for, complete and on time.

USCIS asked for a correction to a translation you did. What do I do?

We'll correct it at no cost and deliver it to you as soon as possible. If that still doesn't resolve it, we refund what you paid for that document. Message us with your order number and the part of the letter that mentions the translation.

How much time does an RFE add?

It can add several months to the process, because USCIS waits for your response and then reviews it. That's why it's best for translations to arrive complete and well done from the start.

My document has a short version and a long version. Which one do I translate?

We translate the version you're going to submit. The office's instructions tell you which version your process requires. If you have both, send us both and we'll give you the price for each one so you can decide.

Can I use an old translation I already have?

It depends on who did it, whether it's complete and whether it has the signed certification. If you'd like, a person can look at it and tell you honestly whether anything is missing, or whether it's better to do it again.

Prices and discounts

How we charge

How much does a certified translation cost?

A certified translation costs 25 USD per page, with the certification included. We charge by word count, not by sheet: each page covers up to 250 words, plus 60 as a courtesy allowance; the second page starts at word 311. A birth certificate usually comes out to 1 or 2 pages. A person gives you the exact price after seeing your document, and you decide whether to go ahead.

Is the certification charged separately?

No. The signed certification is included in the 25 USD per page. The PDF in your account is also included.

How much does each type of translation cost?
  • Certified translation (birth certificates, civil records, diplomas, police records): 25 USD per page.
  • Specialized legal document (contracts, court rulings, powers of attorney): 35 USD per page.
  • Regular uncertified text (letters, emails): 20 USD per page.
  • Business translation (catalogs, brochures, proposals): 30 USD per page.
  • Review and editing of an already translated text: 12 USD per page.

Websites, advertising, audio and video are quoted by project.

Why does a legal document cost more?

Because contracts, court rulings and powers of attorney contain legal terms that have to be exact in the other language. They're handled by a person with legal knowledge and get a more detailed review. Please note: we only translate; we don't give legal advice.

What extras can my order have?

Only the ones you choose, and we tell you about all of them up front:

  • Next day: additional cost (we tell you the price before we start).
  • Same day: additional cost.
  • Physical copy by mail within the U.S.: 15 USD, or 25 USD with tracking. Picking it up at the office is free.
  • Notarization: 10 USD per notarial act.
  • Apostille: 125 USD for the first document and 75 USD for each additional one, plus the state fee.

That's the full price: what we tell you is what you pay.

Can the price you give me change later?

The price we tell you is the price you pay. You know the full amount before you approve. If you ask for something new later, like a physical copy, we tell you what it costs before we do it.

How much is a birth certificate?

It depends on how many words it has in total, including seals, signatures and notes. A short birth certificate comes out to 1 page (25 USD). A long birth certificate, with a registry page, seals on the back and notes, usually adds up to about 450 words: 2 pages, 50 USD. A person gives you the exact price after seeing it.

Can you give me a price without seeing the document?

Here's the reference: 25 USD per certified page: the first page covers up to 310 words and each additional page, 250. But the exact price requires a person to see the document, because 1 sheet can have 100 words or 700. Send it however you have it: PDF, Word or a photo.

How does the free first page promotion work?

It's our way of letting you get to know us. Your first page is free: one per customer, while the promotion lasts. Just ask for your price using the "I want my free page" button and the person helping you will apply it.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, in these cases:

  • Family bundle for individuals and families: from 3 documents, each page is 20 USD instead of 25 (pages are counted by words, as always), plus 15 USD for case file handling, one time only.
  • Businesses: 10% off from 5 to 20 documents a month, and 15% off for more than 20. You pay each order with your discount already applied.
  • Churches and community organizations: community rate, with 10% off.
When and how do I pay?

You pay after you see your price and approve it, and that's when the work begins. We accept credit or debit card, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App and bank transfer. You pay from your traducasa.com account, where you'll find the instructions. If you'd rather pay in installments, choose Klarna or Afterpay at checkout: you pay over time and your work starts right away. They'll tell you on the spot whether your purchase qualifies.

Does the PDF cost extra?

No. The certified PDF is included and arrives in your traducasa.com account. Only the physical copy sent by mail has a cost, and picking it up at the Doral office is free.

Get your price.
Why does a person give me the price instead of the website?

Because every document is different and we want to give you the fair price, not an approximate one. A person looks at your document, counts the words and explains the price to you. You see the price and you decide. We give it to you in the same conversation when you call us or book a video call.

Family bundle

What is the family bundle?

It's a special price when you bring 3 or more documents. Each page is 20 USD instead of 25, plus a one-time 15 USD case file handling fee. Pages are counted by words, as always: a long document can add up to 2 pages or more, and all of them are 20 USD. It's for individuals and families, and it's our way of rewarding you for bringing everything together.

What is case file handling?

It's a one-time charge of 15 USD per package. It covers putting your case file together, checking that the names and dates match across all the documents, and delivering everything to you complete and in order. That way your paperwork arrives consistent.

Can you give me an example of the family bundle?

A family with 7 one-page documents: separately, it would be 175 USD. With the family bundle it's 7 × 20 = 140 USD, plus 15 USD for case file handling: 155 USD total. If one of those documents adds up to 2 pages because of its word count, each of those 2 pages is also 20 USD.

Is the family bundle for one person or for the whole family?

For the whole family. The documents can belong to several people, as long as they're in the same order.

Does the family bundle apply to businesses?

The family bundle is for individuals and families. Businesses have their own plan, with volume discounts.

Can I add documents later and keep the family bundle?

Write to us before you pay and we'll add it to your order at the same family bundle price. If it's already in progress, a person will work out with you how to add it.

Why is it better to translate all the documents in the same place?

You can, but in one place your name, your family's names and the dates are written the same way in every document. That consistency makes the work easier for the officer reviewing your case. Plus, with the family bundle you pay less.

How we count pages

Why do you charge by the word and not by the sheet?

Because it's fairer. One sheet can have 100 words or 700, and the work is very different. By counting words, you pay for what actually gets translated, no more and no less. It's the standard way to charge in translation.

How many words are in a billing page?

The first page covers up to 310 words: 250 plus a 60-word courtesy allowance. From word 311 on, each block of up to 250 words adds 1 page. We add up all the words in the document, and that gives the number of pages.

Get your price.
What is the courtesy allowance?

It's 60 words we give you for free on the first page. If your document has 300 words, you pay for 1 page, not 2. We don't charge you an extra page for just a few words.

Can you give me some examples?
  • Short birth certificate with 140 words: 1 page, 25 USD.
  • 300-word document: 1 page, 25 USD.
  • Full birth certificate, with seals and notes, 450 words: 2 pages, 50 USD.
  • 1-sheet document with 700 words: 3 pages, 75 USD.
  • 1000-word document: 4 pages, 100 USD.
Do seals, notes and the back of the page count?

Yes, because they're translated too: the text, the seals, the margin notes, the back and the apostille if it has one. That's why a 1-sheet birth certificate can come out to 2 billing pages.

Do numbers and dates count as words?

Yes, they count, because they're also translated and carefully checked. Dates are one of the things we take the most care with.

Get your price.
Who counts the words? Can I see the count?

A person on our team counts them when reviewing your document. When we give you the price, we tell you how many billing pages it is. If you have a question about the count, ask us and we'll explain it.

If my document has 5 sheets, is it 5 pages?

Not necessarily. It can be fewer or more, depending on how many words they have. 5 sheets with little text can be 2 or 3 billing pages. A person counts them and tells you the exact price.

Questions about price

Can I pay part now and part later?

Yes. At checkout, choose Klarna or Afterpay: you pay in installments and your work starts right away. They'll tell you on the spot whether your purchase qualifies.

What if I don't agree with the page count?

We'll gladly explain it. We count all the words in the document, including seals, notes and the back: the first page covers up to 310 words and each following page, 250. If you see something that doesn't add up, a person will review it with you.

Turnaround and delivery

How long does my translation take?

There are 3:

  • Standard: 2 to 3 business days, no extra charge.
  • Next day: additional cost (we tell you the price before we start).
  • Same day: additional cost, with conditions.

The time we give you is the time we deliver.

When does the clock start?

From the moment you approve the price and pay, because that's when the work begins. If you send your document today and approve it tomorrow, the time counts from tomorrow.

What are the conditions for Same day?
  • Personal documents: birth certificate, civil record, police record certificate, license, diploma or transcripts.
  • Up to 3 billing pages.
  • Order approved and paid before 12 noon.
  • It arrives as a PDF in your account before 8 pm, 7 days a week.
  • It has an additional cost; we tell you the exact price before we start.

Same day spots are limited; the sooner you ask, the better.

What if my Same day order doesn't arrive that day?

If we don't deliver it that day, we refund the Same day surcharge. And if the document has parts that are hard to read, it may move to Next day with no surcharge; we'll tell you before we start.

Do you work on weekends?

Yes. Remote service and Same day service run 7 days a week, from 8 am to 8 pm, Miami time. Standard turnaround is counted in business days, and the Doral office sees clients by appointment, Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.

How do I receive my translation?

You have these options:

  • Certified PDF in your traducasa.com account: included.
  • Pickup at our Doral office: free.
  • Mail within the U.S.: 15 USD, or 25 USD with tracking.
  • International shipping: quoted by country.
Do you send me the PDF by email?

We email you when it's ready, and you download it from your traducasa.com account. That way your document stays saved and protected: only you can see it.

Get your price.
Do I need the physical copy, or is the PDF enough?

It depends on where you submit it. For many online applications the PDF is enough, and you can print it yourself. If the office asks for the signed paper, request the physical copy: you pick it up for free, by appointment, in Doral or we mail it to you. Check the instructions for your application.

I ordered Same day. When do I get the physical copy?

With Same day you receive the PDF before 8 pm. You pick up the physical copy by appointment at the Doral office starting the next business day.

How long does mail delivery take?

Translation time and shipping time are separate. First we finish the translation in the turnaround you chose, and then it ships. With tracking (25 USD) you can see where your envelope is at all times. We quote international shipping by country.

How do I know the status of my order?

In your traducasa.com account you can follow your order step by step, from when we receive it until it's ready. And when it's ready, we let you know. If you'd like, we can also tell you on WhatsApp.

I have an appointment or a deadline. Can you help me?

Of course. Tell us the date when you ask for your price, and we'll choose with you the turnaround that works for you: Standard, Next day or Same day. We'll tell you clearly whether we can make it, before you pay.

Can you send the translation directly to someone else?

Yes, if you authorize it. Tell us who and how, and we'll note it on your order. The physical copy is handed in person to you or to whoever you authorize.

Of course. We serve you anywhere in the United States and in any country, by video and WhatsApp. Everything is done online. We mail your printed copy anywhere in the United States, and shipping to another country is quoted based on the destination. And if you're nearby, we'll be glad to see you in Doral.

Why does it matter that you have a physical office?

Because behind Traducasa there are real people and a real place. You can come by, meet us, bring your papers and pick up your translation in person. That gives you peace of mind.

Documents and apostille

Document types

Do you translate birth certificates?

Yes, it's one of the documents we translate most. We translate it in full: the text, the registry page, the seals, the signatures and the margin notes. A short birth certificate comes to 1 page (25 USD), and a long one usually comes to 2 (50 USD).

Do you translate marriage, divorce and death certificates?

Yes. Marriage and death certificates are 25 USD per certified page. A divorce decree is a legal document, so it's 35 USD per page. In every case, we translate the full document.

Do you translate police/criminal record certificates?

Yes, with everything included: seals, signatures, and QR or verification codes, which are described in the translation. It's priced as a certified page.

Do you translate diplomas and transcripts?

Yes: diplomas, transcripts, course curricula and academic certificates, priced as certified pages. If you're bringing your whole academic file, ask about the bundle price.

Do you do credential evaluations, like WES?

The equivalency is signed by specialized evaluation companies, not by us. What we do is translate all the papers the evaluator asks for and guide you through the process so you send them correctly. Our guidance costs 30 to 40 USD, plus the translated pages.

Do you translate driver's licenses?

Yes, we translate the full license, front and back. What the license office asks of you depends on your case, so check with them. We'll have your certified translation ready.

Do you translate passports?

Yes. Plus, your passport serves as our reference so your name is spelled the same way in all your translated documents.

Do you translate vaccination records?

Yes. It's one of the most requested documents for enrolling kids in school. We translate vaccine names, dates, lot numbers and seals.

Do you translate medical records and medical reports?

Yes, with great care for your privacy. Your medical documents stay in your private account, and we deliver them there, stored and protected. The price depends on the word count; a person will tell you once they see them.

Do you translate bank statements and bank documents?

Yes: bank statements, employment and income letters, and tax documents. Since they usually have a lot of figures, a person reviews them to give you the exact price.

Do you translate contracts, powers of attorney and sworn statements?

Yes. They're legal documents, so they're 35 USD per page, because of the precise terminology and the more detailed review. We only translate the text that already exists; we don't draft or review the legal content.

Do you translate letters, emails and texts without seals?

Yes. If you don't need certification, it's done as a regular text: 20 USD per page. If an office is going to ask for it, certified is the better choice. We'll ask what it's for and tell you which one fits.

Get your price.
I have documents in English that I need in Spanish. Do you do that?

Yes. We translate in both directions. If the document is going to another country, ask there whether they also need an apostille; we can also help you with the apostille for Florida documents.

My document isn't on the list. Can you translate it?

Almost certainly, yes. Send it as you have it, and a person will tell you how we'll handle it and what it costs.

Seals, signatures and illegible parts

How do you translate seals?

Seals aren't copied as images: they're described, and what they say is translated. For example: "\[Seal: Registro Civil del Municipio…\]". That way the officer knows exactly which seal is there and where.

What about signatures?

Signatures are marked in the translation with "\[Signature\]" where they appear, and if the signer's name is legible, we include it. The translation reflects the original exactly as it is.

Get your price.
Do you translate handwritten text?

Yes. We translate handwritten text and margin notes, as long as they can be read. Many older birth certificates are handwritten, and we work on them with care.

What happens if part of it can't be read?

We mark it as "\[Illegible\]". That's the correct way: the translation has to be faithful, so we don't guess at what can't be seen. If you have a clearer copy, send it and we'll use it.

Do you translate QR codes and barcodes?

They're marked in place, for example "\[QR code\]", and we translate the text that goes with them, like the verification code. Nothing is left out.

What is a translator's note?

It's a short clarification the translator adds in brackets, for example "\[T.N.: …\]". It's used when something needs an explanation so the officer understands it correctly, like a name spelled 2 different ways or a local abbreviation.

Do I need to send the back of the document?

Yes, send it complete, front and back. The seals, the apostille or the notes are often on the back, and all of that gets translated.

My photo came out cropped or crooked. Will it work?

We need to see the whole document, edges included. If a piece is missing, we'll ask you for another photo before giving you the price. Tip: place it on a table, in good light, and take the photo from above.

If my document has illegible parts, does that change the turnaround time?

If you ordered Same day and the document is hard to read, it may move to Next day at no extra charge. We'll tell you before you pay, so you can decide calmly.

Apostille and notarization

What is an apostille?

It's an official seal that makes a public document valid for use in another country that is part of the Hague Convention. It's issued by the authority of the country or state where the document was issued, not by the translator.

Do you apostille documents?

Yes, we handle the apostille process for documents issued in Florida. It costs 125 USD for the first document and 75 USD for each additional document, plus the state fee. For now, we only handle documents from Florida. If your document is from another state, the apostille is issued by the state where the document was issued, and we translate everything, apostille included.

My document is from another country. Can you apostille it here?

The apostille is obtained in the country that issued the document, or in some cases through its consulate. Once you have it, we translate the full document, apostille included.

Which comes first, the apostille or the translation?

In general, the original document is apostilled first, and then everything is translated, apostille included. That way the translation is complete. If your case is different, a person will be glad to guide you.

How long does the apostille take?

It depends on the state office, which is why it takes longer than the translation. We'll give you the estimated time along with your price, so you can plan calmly.

Do all countries accept the apostille?

Countries in the Hague Convention accept it. Those that aren't part of it require a different process, called legalization, which goes through the consulate. Ask your country's consulate which one they require.

What is notarization, and when do I need it?

With notarization, a notary public certifies a signature. USCIS doesn't require it for translations; some schools, offices or countries do. If yours requires it, we do it for 10 USD per notarial act.

Can the notary give me legal advice?

No. A notary public certifies signatures. Being a notary doesn't make someone a lawyer, and a notary who isn't a lawyer cannot give legal advice. We only translate: we take your document and carry it faithfully from one language to the other. We don't give legal advice or draft documents.

Can you notarize a family member's signature?

In Florida, a notary cannot notarize the signature of their spouse, children or parents. With other relatives, such as a cousin, the law doesn't prohibit it. We follow that rule in every notarization.

Can I get the apostille, translation and notarization in one place?

Yes, that's the whole idea behind Traducasa: you bring your document and we take care of the whole process. We translate it, apostille it if it's from Florida, notarize it if needed, and hand it to you ready. One door and one person by your side.

Trust and privacy

Trust and guarantees

Why should I trust you?

Because at Traducasa we are real people translating for real people. You're helped by someone with a name, who explains things and gives you a clear price before we start. We have a physical office in Doral, where you can come see us by appointment. And our work doesn't end when you pay: it ends when your document is ready and received by the office where you submit it. If the office asks for a correction to our translation, we make it at no cost.

Who translates my document?

Qualified people with native command of English. Every document is translated, goes through a full check of names, dates and numbers, and is finally reviewed by a translator who signs it and issues your certified translation. Nothing goes out without being reviewed twice.

Get your price.
Do you use machine translation or Google Translate?

Behind every document are qualified people who work on it, review it and sign it. No translation goes out without a person reviewing it word by word, including the names, dates and seals. That's how we make sure your translation is complete and faithful.

What are your promises?
  1. The price we give you is the price you pay.
  2. We never push you to buy more than you need: we tell you what your process requires, and not one thing more.
  3. We meet the turnaround time we promise.
  4. We translate your complete document: every seal, every signature, every number.
  5. Your information is protected, as if it were our own.

At Traducasa we don't sell translations: we sell peace of mind, so you can sleep easy.

What if I find an error in my translation?

We'll correct it at no cost: corrections of our errors are included for 90 days after delivery. Message us with your order number and tell us what you noticed, and a person will review it and send you the corrected version as soon as possible.

Do you guarantee my translation will be accepted?

We prepare every translation the way offices require: complete, faithful and with the signed certification statement. If the office asks for a correction to our translation, we correct it at no cost, and if that still doesn't resolve it, we refund what you paid for that document. The decision on your case is made by the office; we make sure the translation is flawless.

Are you a real company?

Yes. We are Traducasa LLC, with an office at 9831 NW 58th Street, Unit 134, Doral, Florida, open by appointment Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. You can also reach us at (786) 695-0502 and at info@traducasa.com.

Is the Traducasa seal what makes it valid?

What makes it valid is the certification statement signed by the translator. The Traducasa seal accompanies it as a mark of professionalism, always next to the signature.

Get your price.
Do you have certified translators?

Yes. Every translation we deliver is certified: it is signed by a native translator fluent in both languages, with a statement that the translation is complete and accurate. And every document is reviewed twice before delivery.

Get your price.
How do I know you won't leave me waiting?

A person is here for you every day, 8 am to 8 pm, Miami time, by phone, WhatsApp or video call. Outside those hours, leave us a message and we'll call you at 8 am. And in your account, you can see where your order stands at any time.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

Can I cancel my order?

Before you pay, there's nothing to cancel: getting your price doesn't commit you to anything. If you've already paid and we haven't started, we refund everything. If we've already started, we deliver what's done and refund the difference: you only pay for the work completed. Message us as soon as possible with your order number.

Can I get my money back?

Yes, depending on the moment:

  • If we haven't started yet: we refund everything.
  • If we've already started: you only pay for the work completed and we refund the difference.
  • If the office asks for a correction because of an error on our part: we correct it for free, and if that still doesn't resolve it, we refund what you paid for that document.

Refunds go back to the same payment method. It's all in our Refund Policy: https://www.traducasa.com/en/refund-policy/

My translation has a name spelled wrong. What do I do?

Write to us with your order number and tell us where it is. We compare it with your original document and, if something needs to be corrected, we deliver the corrected version at no cost as soon as possible. Free corrections cover the 90 days after delivery, including when it's the office asking to correct an error on our part. Keep in mind that the translation follows what the original says; if the original shows it differently, we explain it with a translator's note.

Can I ask for a change that isn't a mistake?

The translation has to be faithful to the original, so we can't change what the document says. What we can do is add a translator's note that explains the difference. Someone from our team will go over it with you.

I sent the wrong document. Can I change it?

Yes. If we haven't started yet, we swap the document and, if the price changes, we tell you first. If we've already started, someone from our team will go over it with you. Write to us as soon as possible.

I'm not happy with the service. Where can I tell you?

Thank you for telling us: it helps us improve. Write to us at info@traducasa.com or on WhatsApp with your order number. A real person will reply and work out the solution with you.

How long do you keep my documents?

We keep them for 12 months, so you can download your translation again if you need it. Everything is explained in our Privacy Policy at traducasa.com.

Can I ask you to delete my data?

My documents have sensitive information. How do you protect it?

Your papers carry your whole life: your Social Security number, your address, your medical information. That's why your documents are uploaded and downloaded through your private account, never as a loose file in an email. And the printed copy is handed directly to you or to someone you authorize.

What do you do with my personal data?

We use them to take care of your order: give you your price, keep you updated and deliver your translation. The details are in our Privacy Policy, in Spanish and English, at traducasa.com.

Can you give my translation to someone else?

Only if you authorize it. Tell us in writing, with that person's name, and we'll note it on your order. Without your authorization, your document is delivered only to you.

Is what I say with the interpreter confidential?

Yes. Everything said in your appointment or on your call stays there. It's part of our commitment to every client.

We only translate

Are you lawyers?

No. We only translate: we take your document and carry it faithfully from one language to the other. We don't give legal advice or draft documents.

Can you tell me what to do in my case?

That's a legal decision, and we don't give legal advice. What we do is translate everything your process needs, complete and on time.

Can you write a letter or a statement for me?

We don't draft documents. If you already have the letter or statement written in Spanish, we'll gladly translate it into English, faithful to what it says.

Can you fill out my forms?

We don't fill out forms. We only translate. If you need to understand a form that's in English, we can translate it so you can read it in Spanish.

We don't review the legal content. What we do is translate the whole contract faithfully, so you know exactly what it says in your language.

Can you change something in the document so it works in my favor?

No. A certified translation has to be faithful and complete: we say exactly what the original says, nothing more and nothing less. That's what makes it valid, and that's what protects you.

Get your price.
Can you recommend a lawyer?

We don't make legal recommendations. Our work is translation, and there we're with you from start to finish.

Business and interpreting

Businesses

Do you work with businesses?

Yes. We have a Business account, with a volume discount and one contact person for your whole team. We work both ways: Spanish to English and English to Spanish.

How does the Business account work?

You sign up as a Business and someone from Traducasa calls you to get to know your business and set up your plan. We agree on a fixed price, you send work whenever you need it and you pay only for what you use. No membership fee, no contract, and your discount already applied to every order.

What volume discounts do you offer?
  • 5 to 20 documents a month: 10% off.
  • More than 20 documents a month: 15% off.

For large projects, like manuals or websites, we give you a price for the whole project.

How does monthly invoicing work?

Monthly invoicing is for our Partners (attorneys, document preparers and agencies): they approve each order and pay for everything together at the end of the month. A Business account pays each order when it approves the price, with its discount already applied, and all receipts stay in your account.

Can several people at my company use the account?

Yes, one account for your whole team. All orders stay together and organized, each one with its receipt in your account.

I'm a lawyer or a document preparer. Do you have something for me?

Yes: the Partner program (Aliados). You get 10% off (15% from 21 documents a month), you can open orders in your clients' names, keep all their files organized in your account and get one monthly invoice for the documents. Delivery can go to your client or straight to you. Someone from Traducasa approves your account and calls you to welcome you.

What do you translate for businesses?

Manuals, contracts, employee notices and policies, catalogs, brochures, proposals, technical and financial documents, websites and advertising. We also do audio transcription and video subtitles.

Do you translate websites?

Yes. We adapt your whole site into the other language and, if you'd like, add the keywords so people find you on Google in both languages. It's priced per project: we count the words on the whole site and give you one price. As a reference, a small website with 5 or 6 pages runs between 300 and 500 USD.

Do you adapt ads and slogans?

Yes. That's called transcreation: instead of translating word for word, we recreate the message so it works in the other language. It's priced per piece, starting at 100 USD, depending on the work.

Do you do transcription and subtitles?

Yes. Transcription is priced per minute of audio: 3 to 5 USD if it stays in the same language, and 6 to 8 USD if it's also translated. Subtitles are priced per minute of video: from 4 USD if they stay in the same language, and from 9 USD if they're also translated. The exact price depends on the audio quality.

Is my company's information protected?

Yes. Your documents live in your private account, and only the people working on them can see them. And if your company needs it, we sign our confidentiality agreement with you before we start.

Can you do a test before we work with you?

Of course. Start with one document and see our work and how we treat you. Your first page is free while the promotion lasts.

By type of business

I have an immigration law firm. How can we work together?

Through the Partner program (Aliados): you open orders in your clients' names, keep their files organized in your account and get a monthly invoice. We translate following the USCIS rule, with names and dates consistent across the whole case file. Delivery can go to your office or to your client.

We're a clinic or a medical office. What can you offer us?

We translate forms, consent forms, patient instructions and medical reports, and we provide phone or video interpreting for appointments. Medical documents are handled in private accounts, never as loose files by email.

We're a funeral home. Can you help us with repatriations?

Yes. We know that in a repatriation every hour counts. We translate death certificates and the paperwork for the process with next-day or same-day delivery, and we help you with the apostille for Florida documents.

We're a school. What can you do for us?

We translate parent communications, enrollment forms, school rules and newsletters. We also provide interpreting for parent meetings. And for families, we translate transcripts, vaccination records and school certificates.

We're a title or mortgage company. What do you translate?

We translate your clients' documents that come in Spanish: powers of attorney, official certificates, proof of income and bank statements, with fast delivery so your closing keeps moving.

We're a staffing agency or an employer. Can you help us?

Yes. We translate employee manuals, policies, contracts, safety notices and candidates' documents, like diplomas and employment letters.

We're an insurance company or an adjuster. Do you translate claims?

Yes: statements, reports, invoices and supporting documents. We also provide phone interpreting so you can talk with your clients.

We're a church or a community organization. Do you have a special rate?

Yes, we have a community rate with 10% off. We can also serve the families you support.

I'm an accountant or a tax preparer. Can you help me?

Yes. We translate your clients' bank statements, proof of income, tax returns and accounting documents, with every figure carefully checked. With the Partner program (Aliados), you have them all organized in your account.

We're a construction company or a contractor. Do you translate safety manuals?

Yes. We translate safety manuals and notices, work instructions and contracts into neutral, international Spanish, so your whole team understands the same thing.

Languages

My company needs to talk to its employees in Spanish. Can you do that?

Yes. We translate manuals, policies, contracts, safety notices and internal communications into neutral, international Spanish, so your whole Hispanic team understands them the same way.

My business wants to serve Hispanic customers. Can you help me?

Yes. We translate your website, catalogs, brochures and advertising into Spanish, with a tone that sells and sounds natural. If you want people to find you on Google in Spanish, we adapt your website with your business's keywords.

Interpreting

What's the difference between translation and interpreting?

Translation is written: we carry your document from one language to the other. Interpreting is live and spoken: a person joins you at an appointment or on a call and says in English what you say, and in Spanish what they say to you.

Do you offer interpreting?

Yes, by phone, by video call and at appointments. For example: doctor's appointments, job interviews, meetings at the bank or with your insurance company, and calls to a school or a company.

How much does interpreting cost?
  • Regular price: 80 USD per hour, 1-hour minimum, and 40 USD for each additional half hour.
  • Welcome offer, for new clients on their first interpretation service: 50 USD per hour and 25 USD for each additional half hour.
  • If you need it right away, without booking, it's the same price, subject to availability.
Why is there a 1-hour minimum if my call is short?

Because the interpreter sets that time aside just for you and stays ready even if the appointment runs late. That's why the minimum booking is 1 hour, even if the call is shorter.

How do I book an interpreter?

Write to us on WhatsApp or call us with the date, the time, the type of appointment and how it will happen (phone, video or in person). The sooner you let us know, the better. If it's urgent, we have our on-demand service.

Can you interpret at a court hearing?

For a hearing before a judge, the court appoints the interpreter, and in many cases at no cost to you. Ask your court as soon as you have the date. In immigration court, the government provides the interpreter. What we do is translate the documents you're going to submit.

Can you help me at a doctor's appointment?

Yes. We're with you by phone, by video or at the appointment, so you understand the doctor clearly and the doctor understands you. Everything said there stays there.

Is the free video call the same as interpreting?

No. The free 10-minute video call is to help you, explain your document and give you your price. If you need a person to interpret a conversation with someone else, that's interpreting and it's charged by the hour.

What languages do you interpret?

Spanish and English, in both directions. For now, we don't work in other languages.
